Windows Systems Administrator

Tower Research Capital LLC, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Windows Systems Administrator to join our small but rapidly growing Windows Team.

The Windows Systems Administrator will be a key member of the team that designs and maintains Tower’s Windows infrastructure. Responsibilities include strategically planning for the growth of the infrastructure, maintaining existing systems, and exercising discretion by working with Windows users to resolve any issues that may arise.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge spanning all Microsoft products, third-party software, and Open Source software running on Linux. As our Windows Team is responsible for everything from design to deployment to user support, the Windows Systems Administrator should be comfortable working in all of these areas, which are integral to Tower’s day-to-day operations.

Additionally, candidates should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science from a top university
  • At least three years of experience in architecting and supporting a reliable, scalable Windows network
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows 2008/Vista/7 and Active Directory, including Group Policy, Kerberos, and LDAP
  • Extensive experience with Exchange troubleshooting, management, and migration
  • Experience integrating BlackBerry Enterprise Server and ActiveSync with Exchange
  • Experience with server/desktop management using Microsoft System Center products
  • Experience with SharePoint installation and maintenance
  • Experience with SQL Server, including replication, log shipping, and query optimization
  • Knowledge of PowerShell, Python, and Perl
