Quantitative Developer

Tower Research Capital LLC, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Quantitative Developer to become one of the initial members of a growing statistical arbitrage group. The responsibilities for this position are varied and complex, requiring a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, independent judgment, and initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing and developing quantitative models and portfolio management systems
  • Performing significant day-to-day maintenance on existing code to retain its stability and robustness
  • Managing a high volume of financial data
  • Assisting with and performing trade monitoring
  • Working independently with limited resources in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is critical

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field from a top-tier university
  • Excellent C++ and Java programming skills
  • Python skills (a strong plus)
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • The willingness to take on tasks both big and small
  • Background in mathematics and statistics (preferred)
  • Financial experience (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
