Quantitative Developer
Tower Research Capital LLC, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Quantitative Developer to become one of the initial members of a growing statistical arbitrage group. The responsibilities for this position are varied and complex, requiring a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, independent judgment, and initiative.
Responsibilities
- Implementing and developing quantitative models and portfolio management systems
- Performing significant day-to-day maintenance on existing code to retain its stability and robustness
- Managing a high volume of financial data
- Assisting with and performing trade monitoring
- Working independently with limited resources in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail is critical
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field from a top-tier university
- Excellent C++ and Java programming skills
- Python skills (a strong plus)
- Knowledge of Linux
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- The willingness to take on tasks both big and small
- Background in mathematics and statistics (preferred)
- Financial experience (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
