Back Office Lead
Tower Research Capital LLC, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Back Office Lead to guide development work on the firm’s accounting and risk systems.
Tower successfully trades a number of different strategies in a variety of markets. We have an extremely high-performance network that processes a vast amount of financial information in real time. The team here is composed of a talented group of quantitative financial analysts and programmers.
Responsibilities
In leading development work on the firm’s accounting and risk systems, you will utilize broker statements and Tower’s widely-deployed OMS and market data delivery systems, which include every major electronic exchange and asset class.
In addition, this position will require:
- Working closely with the Accounting and Risk Management teams
- Developing and managing the firm’s real-time risk GUI
- Developing, managing, and maintaining the firm’s PNL reporting pages
- Creating and implementing the process for reconciling broker statements through Tower’s internal trade blotters
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will have at least six years of experience in the finance industry, preferably in a back office role, along with:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field
- Excellent C++ programming skills
- Strong skills in Perl, Python, and Bash or shell
- Knowledge of Linux
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- The willingness to take on tasks both big and small
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
