Associate Director of Business Analysis and Development
Tower Research Capital LLC, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks an Associate Director of Business Analysis and Development to work with the Chief Operating Officer. The Associate Director of Business Analysis and Development will aid in the management of Tower’s day-to-day operations; the design, implementation, and coordination of cross-functional initiatives; and assist in the management of Tower’s external business relationships.
Responsibilities
- Take a lead role in developing innovative business practices and effective methods to help manage rapid growth
- Research and analyze new trends in the industry and synthesize clear, structured recommendations for new initiatives
- Exercise independent judgment in evaluating and prioritizing ideas and opportunities through sound business and financial analysis
- Work with internal teams to manage and refine business processes and communications
- Design and execute strategic planning exercises
- Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer on other projects as needed
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a critical thinker and an effective communicator. A demonstrated track record of initiative, innovation, and high achievement is required, as is at least 5-10 years of work experience.
Additionally, candidates should have:
- Exceptional analytical abilities and strong experience using analytical tools to construct models and present data for the purpose of strategic decision-making
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and to independently lead them to conclusion
- Experience evaluating, researching, and discussing leading-edge technology
- Experience negotiating high-profile deals
- A strong understanding of financial analysis and management
- An entrepreneurial mindset coupled with outstanding strategic judgment
- The ability to develop, articulate, and execute new business opportunities
- Familiarity with current regulatory issues, trends, and developments; Series 7, 27, and/or 24 certifications are a plus
Experience in a trading role with a deep knowledge of at least one asset class or experience in a strategic or management consulting role are valuable areas of expertise.
